We had a wonderful time at Gateway Chikmagalur! The warm hospitality truly stood out. We loved the welcome drink — a refreshing coffee-based mocktail that set the perfect tone for our stay. Mr. Shadab Khan and his dedicated team, including Mr. Sudeesh, Mr. Darshan, Ms. Chandrima, Ms. Manjula, and Mr. Ameer, the bellboy, went above and beyond to make us feel special. Even the smallest details, like my car being cleaned daily, were thoughtfully taken care of — something totally unexpected and simply wow! Dining at Peaberry Restaurant was a delight. The culinary experience was amazing, and we really appreciated the kind gesture of Mr. Ram, the restaurant manager, who offered that my 3-year-old could choose anything from the buffet at no additional charge while we waited for our order. Taj Group’s commitment to impeccable hospitality shone throughout our stay, with every moment crafted to ensure guests feel valued and cared for. As a family, we had some special moments splashing in the kids’ pool with our little one, watching a local magician’s performance, and spending time outdoors. Our daughter especially enjoyed feeding the rabbits, bouncing on the trampoline, and playing with the fishes in the fish pond — truly memorable experiences for her. The spa was impeccably clean, and the massage was both refreshing and deeply relaxing thanks to Ms. Lissy’s expert care — a perfect way to unwind. Overall, I would rate our experience a 10/10 and look forward to returning to Gateway Chikmagalur!

The property is a well-maintained and beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, beautiful gardens, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere to relax and spend time with nature. The rooms were big with open sit-out space, clean, and very comfortable — a definite highlight of our stay. Room service was quick and prompt .The restaurant serves satisfactory food , however the service was slow. The breakfast spread was decent, offering a fair variety of options Ample parking space is available The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful , especially the bell boys and hotel security. Chandrima at the front desk was prompt and helpful too. Karthik was doing a fab job at the Hi tea service. We returned feeling completely refreshed and rejuvenated. Everything was good at the stay , calm and quiet place , clean and classic rooms with balcony Game area for kids both indoor and outdoor

This hotel is from Taj and Tata group so visited with very high expectations. Visited as couple in June 2024. Hotel room is priced very high leveraging Taj brand. Hotel could not deliver wow experience as expected by high premium price and Taj group branding. To start Front office was not welcoming on arrival and got irritated when i informed i am Tata group employee not sure why. positives - very large , spacious rooms with nice decor. Room maintenance and house keeping was good. Swimming pool was nice. Surrounded is lush green and well maintened. Hotel is not far from town. Food was below average. Location also very close to town so does not gave feeling of forest or hill station. Overall an very average experience and far below expectations.
